What is OLB?
The Oregon Limousin Breeders is a state organization for the Limousin breed of beef cattle. It was founded in 1976 as a non-profit organization operated by its membership for the members. The primary purpose of the OLB is the promotion, improvement, and marketing of Limousin cattle to the benefit of all its members.
Benefits of joining OLB
Members, through the association's board of directors and participation in the annual membership meeting, establish rules and policies that govern the organization.
The OLB members engages in a full range of breed association functions and service-oriented activities that center in the areas of breed promotion and improvements, shows, marketing, research, and support of junior activities.
Members of OLB receive two newsletters a year. With this newsletter, members are kept up-to-date on shows, upcoming sales, and other important events of interest to Limousin breeders.
You will receive the Western Limousin Exposition Directory. A memberís directory that encompasses Limousin Breeders located within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, & Oklahoma.
OLB maintains a Web Site that offers members another avenue for promotion of the breed and another marketing avenue promoting the members Ranch/Name in a directory format. This website includes up-to-date information on Limousin events of interest.
